The Tyger, de William Blake

Tyger! Tyger! burning bright / Tigre, tigre, que te enciendes en luz
In the forests of the night / por los bosques de la noche
What immortal hand or eye / ¿qué mano inmortal, qué ojo
Could frame thy fearful symmetry? / pudo idear tu terrible simetría?

In what distant deeps or skies / ¿En qué profundidades distantes, en qué cielo
Burn the fire of thine eyes? / ardió el fuego de tus ojos?
On what wings dare he aspire? / ¿Con qué alas osó elevarse?
What the hand dare sieze the fire? / ¿Qué mano osó tomar ese fuego?

And what shoulder, & what art, / ¿Y qué hombro, y qué arte
Could twist the sinews of thy heart? / pudo tejer la nervadura de tu corazón?
And when thy heart began to beat, / Y al comenzar los latidos de tu corazón,
What dread hand? & what dread feet? / ¿qué mano terrible? ¿Qué terribles pies?

What the hammer? what the chain? / ¿Qué martillo? ¿Qué cadena?
In what furnace thy brain? / ¿En qué horno se templó tu cerebro?
What the anvil? what the dread grasp / ¿En qué yunque? ¿Qué tremendas garras
Dare its deadly terrors clasp? / osaron sus mortales terrores dominar?

When the stars threw down their spear, / Cuando las estrellas arrojaron sus lanzas
And water'd heaven with their tears, / y bañaron los cielos con sus lágrimas
Did he smile his work to see? / ¿sonrió al ver su obra?
Did he who made the Lamb make thee? /¿Quien hizo al cordero fue quien te hizo?

Tyger! Tyger! burning bright / Tigre, tigre, que te enciendes en luz,
In the forests of the night, / por los bosques de la noche
What immortal hand or eye /¿qué mano inmortal, qué ojo
Dare frame thy fearful symmetry? / osó idear tu terrible simetría? (*)
